Women’s mentoring is a popular practice today in many countries of the world, but in Ukraine this topic is just beginning to gain momentum. Especially now, during war, women feel more than ever the need to unite, exchange experiences, and support each other. NGO “Society Initiatives Institute” created the WoMentor women’s mentoring project. The program allows women to enlist support and receive advice from women professionals.

Who is the WoMentor project for?

For women who have a business social idea but do not have the courage or knowledge to realise it. We attract experienced active women who realise in business social spheres. These are famous, media women who are ready to share their practical experience with the project participants.

The new WoMentor project stream, implemented from January to March 2023, consisted of 8 modules:

  • The idea of business. Positioning. Business values. The purpose. Solving a specific problem.
  • Internal business analysis. SWOT analysis. Objectives. Objectives. Areas of work, specifics. USP.
  • Building a brand. Brand strategy. Development of identity. Branding. SMM Communication Strategy. SMM
  • Partnership. How to attract new customers? On which platforms? Commercial offer.
  • Business process management. Programs for proper planning (Trello, Asana, Google calendar, Pomodoro, etc.). Building the right teamwork. Time management.
  • Financial management. Profit accounting.
  • Presentation-pitching of your own business (or project). Blitz presentation.
  • Communication skills.
Місією нашого проєкту є сThe mission of our project is to create a community of active women in Western Ukraine who have a social or business idea. To give these women knowledge, skills, support for the realisation of their ideas.
It is important for us to help them unleash their potential, find their calling, realise themselves, learn how to earn money, as well as gain new experience through thematic trainings and advice from successful women.
“The women’s environment is an important tool for combatting discrimination and stereotypes, in particular about stereotypes about the role of women in society and business. Such environments provide an opportunity to support women in realising their ambitions and ensuring due attention to their needs. This is a good opportunity for internally displaced women to adapt to the new environment, find friends, teachers, partners for business,” said Roksolana Tokarska, curator of the project.

WoMentor Drive meetings are designed to provide women and girls seeking development and synergy with the opportunity to exchange experiences, mentoring support and comfortable communication in a safe environment.
Our goal is to inspire and support women to unlock their potential, increase vitality, help them gain their own value and realise positive developments in their lives. We know that it is very important for women to have financial independence and engage in self-development and develop their professionalism, so we have improved WoMentor.
Each meeting will be full of warm relaxed atmosphere, inspiration, motivation and interesting stories of successful women, including those who managed to go through the thorns of life and survive. We will discuss important issues of self-realisation, exchange experience and ideas for business, and experts will help to understand how to be and remain yourself, how to find balance and harmony in life.
