Arena of Knowledge

The educational program “Arena of Knowledge” is a community of free, educated, comprehensively developed children who, through creativity and open communication, manifest themselves as they want.

“Knowledge Arena” has become a platform for non-formal education for children and adolescents from among IDPs and Lviv residents aged 6-17 years. These are 13 courses of out-of-school education aimed at strengthening practical skills, adapting to new educational challenges and researching curricula.

Children were invited to join the following courses: IT technologies, Robotics and lego construction, English through practice, Financial literacy, History and culture of Ukraine, Theatre art, Videography, Journalism, Art therapy, Sport through perception, Active leisure, Handmade.

During the project period, we conducted more than 300 training sessions from 13 courses. At them, the participants got acquainted with different sports, created their own board games, learned editing, printed 3D models, got acquainted with the culture of Ukraine, wrote reviews, made postcards, practised the rules of using money and communication in English.

“During the implementation of the project, about 180 children visited our space, among whom were IDPs and Lviv residents. More than 300 classes in 13 courses were held, therefore 600 hours of theory and practice of interesting training. Children are very comfortable attending classes, because there was a friendly atmosphere, thanks to which it was easy for them to open up, show their talents and express themselves. . We are glad that we can work and develop our youth, because they are the future and present of Ukraine,” says project coordinator Olha Stelmakh.

Class schedule from May to September:

Within the framework of the project, 6 excursions were also conducted. The participants visited the Lviv Organ Hall, the Lviv National Philharmonic, the Lviv City Council, Lviv Open Lab, local radio and quest. The participants got to know the art better, attended the rehearsal of the Carmen Opera Orchestra, visited the session hall, where they felt like real deputies, as well as real scientists, doing a variety of chemical experiments in the laboratory. Such events allowed children to experience new background and get acquainted with interesting professions.
